Today, one of the torsion springs for my garage door broke, leaving my wife's car trapped inside until I could get there to help raise the door manually. Looking around, I discovered exactly the web page I needed: How I Replaced Deadly Garage Door Torsion Springs (and lived to tell the tale).
After a thorough perusal... I'll be looking for a repair shop.

Welcome J-Landers to Blogger!
It's sad to see my old product, AOL Journals, being shut down; but it's great to welcome AOL Journals users who want to move to Blogger. I just finished importing my old AOL Journal into http://abstractioneer-archive.blogspot.com. 196 posts, that's, um, a lot more posting than I'm doing these days. Must... post... more...
The import process was very smooth. Kudos to JJ who implemented the import feature and worked to make the Journals import process easy.
(The import process of course uses Atom behind the scenes for full data fidelity, and OpenID to verify ownership of the original content.)
